Hours before the Seminoles hit the road on 1-10 headed for Jacksonville, they participated in a get-away day practice. After yesterday’s physical session, Norvell lightened the load and focused heavily on situational football, special teams, and crossover work.
To begin the day, the offense and defense swapped spots, learning how to properly tackle or protect the ball. Afterward, the team played in the first 11-on-11 situational period.
DJ Uiagaelelei put together one of the best offensive drives of the spring. He presented poise in the pocket, keeping eyes downfield and extending plays if needed. His chemistry with Malik Benson grows each practice, and the two hooked up for multiple intermediate routes over the middle.
