FSU’s Willie Taggart on effort, the QB situation, and handing over play-calling duties after NC State loss

A big storyline from last week’s embarrassing Florida State loss to Clemson was effort, and while the Seminoles once again wore a lopsided defeat today against North Carolina State, head coach Willie Taggart was very pleased with a few things— and he opened his postgame press conference by complimenting FSU’s effort. Taggart lauded his squad, even: “I love this football team.”

He was also beyond impressed by receiver Tamorrion Terry, who was sensational in catching five balls for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Said Taggart of Terry: “I wish everybody played like him.”

Another player who stood out in a positive way for Florida State was quarterback James Blackman, who Taggart said got his first start of the season because Deondre Francois was banged up.
