Florida State’s tight end depth has taken several hits this year. Things began in the summer, when it became known that would-be senior Jeremy Kerr would not return to the program due to medical issues. Another blow came in November, when redshirt-junior TE Mavin Saunders announced his intention to transfer. It was further upended today, when fellow redshirt-junior Ryan Izzo made it known that he’d be forgoing his final year of eligibility to declare for the NFL Draft.
After playing sparingly in 2014 and receiving a redshirt, Izzo was the Seminoles’ featured tight end for the last three seasons.
