It wasn’t the day that Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois would have wished for to conclude his redshirt-junior campaign for the garnet and gold. He didn’t play well against the rival Florida Gators in a 41-14 home humiliation, going 14-29 for 154 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and a passer rating of 90.5.
But as the field general of the Seminoles’ woeful offense, Francois knows that it’s a team effort, and while he never excused himself, he spoke after the game, touching quite a bit on what has ben a recurring frustration for the ’Noles: dumb penalties and mental mistakes.
