TALLAHASSEE — Florida State’s Dennis Briggs Jr. is making the full-time move from defensive end to tackle this season and the change is paying off in a big way with the Kissimmee product turning heads during the first week of preseason camp.
Briggs credits having a full offseason in the conditioning program as helping the 6-foot-4, 278-pound lineman get back in better physical shape after missing most of last season after choosing to opt-out due to COVID concerns before returning for the final five games.
“[It’s] a big difference,” said the redshirt sophomore, who finished with six tackles and a forced fumble in 2020.
