It was largely a night to forget for Florida State, losing decisively to the Florida Gators on Saturday night. And while the Seminole rushing attack struggled to find its footing for most of the evening, star running back Cam Akers still found a way to get his, carrying the ball 17 times for 102 yards, highlighted by a 50-yard score in the third quarter.
Akers’ performance saw him again rise among his FSU RB colleagues, beginning with single-season rushing scores, where he moved ahead of Greg Allen in 1983 and Warrick Dunn in 1995.
