For the second game in a row, Florida State matched up with an ACC foe for the right to stay alive in the 2024 College World Series.
And for the second game in a row, the Seminoles sent a fellow conference member packing their bags as FSU took down UNC 9-5 in a do-or-die matchup.
Left-hander Andrew Armstrong, who had yet to make an appearance for the Seminoles in the postseason, got the start for Florida State while UNC rolled out right-hander Aiden Haugh.
The first inning saw both Florida State and North Carolina go three up, three down with the Seminoles breaking open the scoring in the top of the second.
