Florida State’s Alex Mastromanno is the latest Seminole to earn preseason accolades with the redshirt sophomore punter named to the Ray Guy Award watch list Wednesday.
Mastromanno was among 48 candidates on the list for the award, which is given to the best punter in college football.
The Australian native has appeared in 20 games for the Seminoles, averaging 43 yards per punt. He averaged 42.7 yards on 61 punts with 18 punts inside the 20-yard line and 8 punts of at least 50 yards last season. For his career, Mastromanno has placed 25 punts inside the 20-yard line with 12 kicks of at least 50 yards.
