FSU women’s basketball takes care of business against Pitt

Florida State (21-6, 11-4 ACC) defeated Pitt (11-17, 3-12 ACC) by a 69-55 score tonight in Tallahassee, FL.

Game Recap

Florida State was missing its entire starting backcourt as both Ta’Niya Latson and O’Mariah Gordon missed the game with injuries. This obviously meant that some of the remaining players had to play out of position in unfamiliar roles. The Panthers employed a half court trapping defense that helped to exacerbate that problem. Sydney Bowles and Raiane Dias Dos Santos were the primary ball handlers with Latson and Gordon out. It took the Seminoles a little while to adjust to the absence of both of their normal ball handlers.
