FSU women’s basketball spanks Miami

Florida State (15-4, 5-2 ACC) defeated Miami (11-7, 1-6 ACC) by an 88-66 score today in Tallahassee.

The Seminoles started well with a pair of threes from Malea Williams and Sydney Bowles. O’Mariah Gordon stretched the lead to eight with a layup. However, Miami would fight back. The Canes went on a 13-2 run that was capped by a layup from Hanna Cavinder. Coach Brooke Wyckoff called a timeout to stop the bleeding. From there the two teams mostly traded baskets and the Hurricanes ended the period with a 22-18 lead.

Midway through the second quarter FSU hit UM with an 11-0 run that was capped by a Ta’Niya Latson layup.
