The game started off tight. Florida State was playing very well offensively but the Hokies were staying close with offensive rebounding providing extra shots. O’Mariah Gordon drove the lane for an old-fashioned three point play to give the Noles an early 10-8 lead. Later, FSU hit VT with a 10-0 run to take a 26-14 lead. The run was aided by Raiane Dias Dos Santos who stole a pass and went coast to coast for the the layup.
