Florida State is opening the season vs. Notre Dame — and it’s been a back-and-forth battle so far.
FSU went down early to Notre Dame, with the Fighting Irish driving downfield with ease, but settled in as the presence of UGA transfer defensive end Jermaine Johnson II increased. Johnson has been terrorizing the Irish’s offense all night, sacking quarterback Jack Coan twice through two quarters.
The Seminoles responded after a slow offensive start, first getting a dynamic run out of running back Jashuan Corbin to tie things up and then quarterback Jordan Travis navigating a short field to put FSU up 14-7.
