Florida State football will host rival Florida on Friday, Nov. 25, as part of the Seminoles’ 2022 football schedule that was released Monday night.
It’s the first time in the history of the series that this annual regular-season showdown won’t take place on a Saturday. The programs previously met on a Monday and a Thursday but during appearances in the Sugar Bowl (1995, 1997).
“Hosting Florida in primetime on the Friday during the Thanksgiving holiday allows us to showcase this great rivalry and our community on a day that has historically drawn huge television viewership,” said FSU athletics director Michael Alford.
