Another week, another historical mark that emphasizes how far Florida State has fallen this season.
The Seminoles’ 52-3 loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday was their ninth of the season, the worst-ever record for a preseason top ten team.
Florida State got 75 yards and 3 points on its opening drive then sputtered its way through the rest of its road matchup, making it three straight games where FSU has made the trip to Indiana only to get blown out in major fashion.
Notre Dame led 7-3 at the close of the first, quickly made it 14-3 as soon as the second came around and then took advantage of ill-advised timeouts taken by head coach Mike Norvell (now 32-26 over his tenure).
