Florida State struck gold — albeit for one season — when it landed defensive end transfers Jermaine Johnson II and Keir Thomas, with the pair providing a much-needed lift to the Seminoles’ defensive line.
According to Pro Football Focus, Johnson was the second highest-rated edge defender in the ACC last season. Thomas also finished ranked among the top 20, giving the Seminoles a bookend pair that accounted for 18.5 of the team’s 33 quarterback sacks.
