FSU safety commit Nick Cross makes 84-yard interception return in All-American Bowl

It’s often said of defensive backs that if you’re not hearing their names much, then they must be doing their jobs. That’s one way of looking at it. Another way to take care of business is by picking off the country’s No. 2 prostyle quarterback prospect and authoring a dazzling return. Florida State defensible back commit Nick Cross chose the fun one.

Cross (6’1, 207) is a four-star Seminole DB pledge from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. Considered the nation’s No. 5 safety, Cross made waves in Saturday’s All-American Bowl in San Antonio, never more so than when the FSU verbal commit let his legs do the talking against four-star QB Ryan Hilinski, who’s headed to South Carolina.
