Florida State University announced Friday it is reversing its policy and will not allow tailgating during the Seminoles’ home games due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 in Leon County.
“Given what is going on throughout the country and the number of COVID cases in Leon County, we have determined that for the safety of all involved we will not allow tailgating for the Georgia Tech game,” FSU athletics director David Coburn said in a news release. “We will continue to monitor the situation, and if changes are warranted, we will adjust the policy accordingly.”
