Stanford Samuels is following a familiar path. The son of former Florida State defensive back Stanford Samuels announced on Thursday that he will be following in the footsteps of his father and play for the Seminoles.
The No. 3-ranked cornerback in the Class of 2017 picked Florida State over Michigan, Alabama and Georgia in addition to more than 40 scholarship offers. Samuels, an Under Armour All-America Game selection, made unofficial visits to Georgia and Alabama this spring before announcing for Florida State.
The news of Samuels decision provides a bounce back recruiting win for Florida State with Samuels being close friends and teammates with Class of 2016 ESPN 300 linebacker Devin Bush Jr.
