When freshman wide receiver Joshua Burrell arrived on the Florida State campus in January, he wanted to immerse himself in the college experience.
The South Carolina native always expected to start his college football career while most of his peers were playing high school spring sports or getting ready for graduation.
“I’ve always wanted to enroll early when I was thinking about playing college football in middle school and early high school,” said Burrell, who is one of six players from FSU’s 2021 recruiting class who enrolled for the spring semester. “Being able to come in early, get into the playbook and the weight room and build relationships with other guys and starting classes -- I definitely think it’s going to be a benefit when the fall comes around.
