FSU QB Alex Hornibrook discusses his debut performance for the ’Noles

It’s easy for fans to root for the backup quarterback. It’s a lot tougher for that QB to actually get onto the field during meaningful time. Which is why FSU’s plan for graduate-transfer Alex Hornibrook proved so prophetic during Saturday’s win over the Louisville Cardinals.

The Seminoles employed Hornibrook every three series during the first half of Saturday’s win over Louisville. It proved a wise move by the FSU coaching staff, as necessity then dictated Hornibrook taking all the snaps thereafter, following an injury to starting QB James Blackman. Hornibrook spoke after the game about assuming that role.
