After an up-and-down freshman year, Florida State pitcher Jamie Arnold took the college baseball world by storm in 2024.
With a power fastball that runs up to 97 and a devastating slider, Arnold dominated opposing lineups, locking down the Friday night spot in the rotation and earning comparisons to Chris Sale for his lanky delivery and unique arm slot. He threw an immaculate inning in a post-season game. He was credited with a loss in just three regular-season starts last year, one of which happened when he tossed 17 strikeouts. Arnold did not allow a run in his first 24 innings last season.
