The moment almost seemed larger than life which is saying a lot for the 6-foot-5, 325-pound Dillan Gibbons.
But here was the Florida State offensive lineman, known for asserting himself on the football field, almost shying away after accepting the Wuerffel Trophy on Thursday night. It’s an award Gibbons wasn’t expecting when he began his career, but it’s the perfect reward for a culmination of hard work not just from the redshirt senior but friends, family and teammates.
“I’m grateful to win this award not only for what it’s intended for me but for all the individuals we’ve been able to help over the past few years through Big Man Big Heart,” said Gibbons.
