On Monday, Florida State men’s basketball head coach Leonard Hamilton announced his decision to resign at the end of the season.
After 22 years of roaming the sidelines, Hamilton’s legacy is unmatched in Florida State athletics history. He took the Seminoles out of the basketball wilderness, becoming the winningest coach in program history (fifth-winningest in ACC history) and three-time ACC Coach of the Year, and the athletic department should honor him like the legend he is.
During Hamilton's announcement, athletic director Michael Alford stated that the school would take an immediate, national search to find his replacement.
