FSU leaning on improved chemistry, intensity as it embarks on 2015 season

TALLAHASSEE — The familiar sounds of football season — piercing shrieks from whistles, coaches yelling and players chanting as they shuffled through warm-ups — filled Florida State's indoor practice facility Thursday afternoon.

For some, their nerves were palpable as they soaked in the first practice of preseason camp. Others, those who are battle-tested, could hardly contain their excitement. FSU defensive back and All-American Jalen Ramsey bounced around as his teammates prepared to stretch, smacking running back Mario Pender on the helmet while the two embraced. Offensive linemen Wilson Bell and Brock Ruble jogged through lines of players to dish out high-fives.
