Two times this season, the FSU Lady ‘Noles basketball team had come out on top of their intra-state and ACC conference rivals, the Miami Hurricanes. For their foes from Coral Gables, the third time was a charm as the ‘Canes dominated the second half of their ACC Tournament quarterfinal match up, knocking off the ‘Noles 74-56 and advancing in the tournament.
Just like the first two games this season between the rivals, it was a tight first two quarters that saw the teams go into the locker room with the game tied:

The fourth quarter was much of the same, as the ‘Noles couldn’t overcome their own mistakes and, despite leading several categories, came out on the losing end of the scoreboard:
