Leonard Hamilton wanted his young Florida State team to know precisely what they could expect when facing St. John’s Saturday.
The Red Storm is coached by Mike Anderson, who developed his coaching style first as an assistant coach under Hall of Fame coach Nolan Richardson at Arkansas. It was there he learned Richardson’s famous “40 minutes of hell” pressure defense that’s flustered teams with its frenetic pace.
“I was telling the players the other day about the 40 minutes of hell culture,” said Hamilton. “You see a lot of similarities to Coach Richardson’s style.
