TALLAHASSEE — It was a humid Friday evening in mid October, a night Tallahassee usually reserves for festivities leading up to FSU football games.
A noon kickoff the next day against Louisville was on the horizon, but there was a palpable buzz that night stirring inside the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, the home of the Seminoles' basketball team.
Players took the court for the annual 'Jam with Ham' preseason scrimmage and skills contest. They danced, dunked and put on a show for a couple thousand spectators.
At the heart of the hype was Dwayne Bacon.
