Florida State forward Malik Osborne may not play against Virginia Tech Saturday as the redshirt senior continues to battle through an ankle injury he suffered earlier in the month.
Osborne is averaging 10 points, 6.9 rebounds and 27 minutes per game this season, but the career 42% shooter has been struggling from the floor, hitting 18% (8-of-43) over the last six games. He did not play in the team’s wins over Syracuse (Jan. 15) and North Florida (Jan. 20) and was limited to a season-low 19 minutes in FSU’s 75-61 loss to Georgia Tech Wednesday.
Hamilton isn’t sure of Osborne’s status for the foreseeable future after he reaggravated the injury during the loss to the Yellow Jackets.
