FSU football’s final 2020 recruiting class composite rankings

Florida State football’s 2020 recruiting class came into National Signing Day with the nation’s No. 20 composite class— but the writing was on the wall that that rank was unlikely to hold, and it did not.

We’d said it after former FSU verbal commit and four-star receiver Malachi Wideman didn’t sign with the ’Noles during the Early Signing Period: if you don’t sign as a commit in December, you’re not really committed. That sentiment came to fruition today, as expected, when Wideman signed with Tennessee.

So we knew the Florida State class would take a hit, and FSU slid modestly, finishing the cycle with eight four-stars and 16 three-stars.
