As the clock came down to triple zeroes in the final game of the 2018 regular season for the FSU football team, the Seminoles realized not only were they going to lose to the rival Florida Gators for the first time since 2012 – but the Noles were going to be staying home the whole postseason that followed afterward.
For the first time since the 1976 season – yeah, it had been that long – the Seminoles were not going to be bowl eligible as they finished the first season under head coach Willie Taggart with a 5-7 record…and with it, the clock begin to start on how much longer Taggart would have to lead FSU football into action.
