FSU football has a history of recruiting talented athletes to play in its secondary, and the same holds true for the 2017 team with Tarvarus McFadden and Derwin James.
Both will likely be selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Derwin James is the swiss army knife of the secondary, but McFadden plays the boundary cornerback position(the more difficult of the two cornerback spots).
McFadden started as redshirt freshman and got off to a rocky start, but improved tremendously as the season went on.
He tied for the national lead with eight interceptions last season, and had the lowest completion percentage allowed in the ACC according to PFF College Football:
Tarvarus McFadden led the FBS in interceptions.
