FSU football is accustomed to players making the All-ACC teams since joining the league in the early 90’s.
In fact, even in down years like 2017 the Noles had six players to make the All-ACC squad. The 2016 squad saw 11 players selected for All-ACC honors according to USA Today.
However, expectations for 2018 are higher with a new coaching regime and a number of key players returning.
One website predicts the Noles will have 11 players recognized as All-ACC performers for the 2018 season.
Athlon Sports gives their predictions:
- Cam Akers-First Team Offense
- Jacques Patrick-Honorable Mention
- Nyqwan Murray-Second Team Offense
- Alec Eberle-Third Team Offense
- Landon Dickerson-Honorable Mention
- Brian Burns-Third Team Defense
- DeMarcus Christmas-Second Team Defense
- Levonta Taylor-First Team Defense
- Stanford Samuels-Honorable Mention
- Ricky Aguayo-First Team Specialists
- DJ Matthews-Second Team Specialists
Thoughts
Akers, Eberle and Aguayo were named to the official All-ACC teams last season and I thought Levonta Taylor should have been recognized instead of Tarvarus McFadden.
