It was just under three calendar years ago that the FSU football team thought they had found their next quarterback savior when a redshirt freshman named Deondre Francois through for over 400 yards passing and helped lead a major comeback in the opening game of the season for the Seminoles.
One season later, the Seminoles were rocked when Francois suffered a devastating knee injury in the opener against Alabama – which he sat out from for the entire season only to come back in the 2018 season and essentially lay an egg during a season where plenty of venom from the fan base turned toward Francois.
