One was as elusive player as college football has seen— the other was often way too visible to opposing offenses. But both will be on display this season for Florida State football.
FSU announced on Friday that receiver Peter Warrick will have his No. 9 jersey retired by the Seminoles, while former defensive lineman and current DL coach Odell Haggins will be inducted into the FSU Athletics Hall of Fame as a student-athlete.
As is custom, Warrick’s 9 will remain active for other players to wear, as the gesture is a ceremonial one and Florida State needs to keep numbers in circulation.
