For the second straight year, the Florida State football program will team up with the community against a common enemy: Fanconi anemia. FSU, in conjunction with Uplifting Athletes, will participate in a light-hearted yet competitive Lift for Life workout at the Seminoles' indoor practice facility on Thursday from 4-6 pm, and the public is welcome.
Requested donations of $10 for adults and $5 for children will go directly toward fighting FA, the rare disease being fought by FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher's son Ethan. Former 'Nole tight end Kevin Haplea founded the Florida State chapter of Uplifting Athletes, and redshirt-freshman center Alec Eberle has taken the reigns in his stead.
