Over the past quarter century, FSU football has seen several of its star players being associated with the top individual award in college football, the Heisman Trophy. From three winners – all quarterbacks in Charlie Ward, Chris Weinke and Jameis Winston – to numerous finalist and those who got snubbed from a trip to New York (Dalvin Cook, for example), the trophy has garnet and gold written all over it.
So far, as odds continue to come out for all kinds of things in the 2017 season, Florida State has a decent chance of seeing another player be involved in the Heisman conversation.
