FSU football played one the most embarrassing halves of football one could stomach against Syracuse Saturday afternoon.
Well, I should say the FSU offense did because if not for the defense the Noles would have gotten blowed out and were lucky to only be down 6-0 at halftime.
The FSU defense held Syracuse to 172 yards on 45 plays which equates to 3.82 yards per play. On the contrary, the FSU offense accounted for 110 yards on 29 plays which is abysmal.
The Noles only had one first down with about 80 percent of the first half complete and were 0-7 on third downs.
