When it was confirmed that FSU football would be back in their rightful place in the postseason, locations across the country where mentioned where the Seminoles could be playing – from as close to Tampa two days before Christmas to as far away as spots like Detroit, Annapolis and even The Bronx in the days that followed.
There was one spot, however, that was not even mentioned until the moments before the Seminoles found out their bowl destination on Sunday – and wouldn’t you know it, that is where the Seminoles would end up going.
So, cue up the Johnny Cash and get your New Year’s decorations ready to go – because FSU football is going to be bowling this season in…El Paso, Texas as they will be playing in the Sun Bowl for the first time since the 1966 season.
