Not long after the calendar had turned to the year 2014, the FSU football team did something for just the third time in program history – bringing home a national title to Tallahassee with a football team that it could be argued was maybe the best not just in recent years, but maybe in the entire history of the sport.
By the time the year was coming to an end, the Seminoles were riding a 29 game winning streak that had them as the only unbeaten team in the FBS as they went into the inaugural edition of the College Football Playoff – continuing to make history with a season that had plenty of heart stopping moments for the garnet and gold.
