For all the heat that the defense for the FSU football team took over the past four seasons since winning the national title (and we will admit to giving our share of it to the team and former defensive coordinator Charles Kelly), the Seminoles statically were not a bad unit and finished no worse than 26th in the FBS over the last three seasons.
The 2018 Seminoles are going to have their work cut out for them on that side of the ball after losing almost their entire starting unit – including star players like Derwin James, Josh Sweat and Derrick Nnadi along with role players and starters like Matthew Thomas, Tarvarus McFadden and others.
