Just a few years ago, FSU football had not had a 1,000-yard rusher since the 1996 season with Nole great Warrick Dunn finishing his career with three consecutive years of surpassing that benchmark.
It’s not that the Noles didn’t have talented running backs in the years after Dunn, there were plenty like Travis Minor, Greg Jones, Leon Washington, Lorenzo Booker, and Antone Smith.
They all had nice careers and went on to play in the NFL. Looking back over the last 10 years, it seems the running back position was redefined once Jimbo Fisher took over the reins as offensive coordinator.
