FSU Football: Pros and cons of Kendal Briles as offensive coordinator

It seemed like an eternity since the FSU football team found out that offensive coordinator Walt Bell would be leaving his job with the Seminoles to become the next head coach at UMass. Since then, the Noles have signed part of the 2019 recruiting class, done a bunch of laundry and seemingly waited forever for head coach Willie Taggart to hire a replacement.

Sunday, the news was released that one of the names who had been mentioned as a favorite for the job from the beginning – former Baylor, FAU and Houston offensive coordinator Kendal Briles – would be heading to Tallahassee to take over the play calling duties as well as becoming the quarterback coach for FSU football starting in 2019.
