Having fired Willie Taggart on Sunday, Florida State is in the midst of searching for its new head coach, but that certainly won’t be the only change made to the FSU staff. Several assistant coaches will likely be shown the door as well— but Jim Leavitt has just been shown the field.
Taggart’s defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Oregon, Leavitt was hired on as an analyst after the first two games of the 2019 season, in which the ’Noles allowed 36 points to Boise State and 44 to Louisiana-Monroe. Below, find the release from Florida State announcing Leavitt’s promotion.
