FSU football announced that quarterback Sean Maguire will likely miss the opening game against Ole Miss, and will take about four weeks to recover similar to the Derwin James injury.
This likely means that redshirt freshman Deondre Francois will start the opening game on September 5 in primetime against Ole Miss.
Oddsmakers have made an adjustment to the news.
FSU football was a seven point favorite over the Rebels about two months ago, but the line gradually crept down to around -6 to -5 in the first month of August.
However, as of this morning, the ‘Noles are listed anywhere from -4 to -4.
