For whatever reason a lot of FSU football fans thought the Noles would be more competitive against Clemson.
I thought they had a shot to cover the spread which they missed by four points. However, I had some real concerns the game could turn into a route based on how the offense decided to handle their tempo game.
FSU depends on tempo to get an advantage over opposing offenses, but if they don’t execute it means opposing offenses are back on the field in a hurry.
That’s exactly what happened in the first half as Clemson scored touchdowns on four of their first five possessions.
