When FSU football took the field against Texas State to open the 2015 season, it seemed like just an average game where the Seminoles were going to make quick work of an overmatched opponent. In reality, it was the latest time that the Noles had faced a fellow FBS opponent for their first ever meeting.
Entering this coming year, Florida State has faced 79 of the other 129 programs that play in college football’s highest level (a number that would be one higher except for the fact that Idaho, who the Seminoles faced during the 2013 title season, is moving to the FCS level this season and is being replaced by Liberty).
