FSU football has been plagued with poor linebacker play the last few years. The last FSU linebacker drafted by an NFL team was Telvin Smith in 2014.
Other former FSU linebackers have played in the NFL since then as Terrance Smith and Matthew Thomas come to mind.
However, having one linebacker drafted in the past 5 seasons points to recruiting and lack of development by the previous staff.
The commitment of four-star linebacker Jayion McCluster for the 2020 recruiting cycle got me thinking about how linebacker recruiting has changed in the Willie Taggart era.
