It’s one of the perks that comes with winning a championship in your sport at the college or professional level: a trip to the White House and a chance to meet the President of the United States and get congratulated for winning the title.
The Florida State Seminoles thought they would get to do such a thing after winning the 2013 national championship with a 14-0 record and an amazing comeback win over Auburn in the Rose Bowl Stadium for the final BCS crown. Alas, it never happened for whatever the reason was (the White House claimed it was a scheduling issue, but many think the controversy surrounding sexual assault allegations against FSU football quarterback Jameis Winston was the real reason).
