It started off rough for FSU football as James Blackman and the offense looked lost at times. However, the true freshman played well enough for the ‘Noles to win the game.
He finished with a stat line of 22 of 38 for 278 yards and one touchdown.
Blackman did have a costly fumble in the first half as he made a highlight reel play to escape a tackle only to be stripped from behind.
NC State recovered the fumble on the two-yard line and erased a prime scoring opportunity for the ‘Noles.
It’s clear the fans felt Blackman played well enough to win as most of the venom spit online went towards the defense.
