One of the most important things FSU football coaches and fans were looking forward to at Saturday’s Garnet and Gold Spring Game was the play of the quarterbacks. After Deondre Francois left the team and the Seminoles didn’t sign a quarterback in their last two classes, the depth of the position was in question.
Coaches and fans alike were hopeful that Saturday’s game would provide some clarity heading into the summer. The starter at this point, and likely for the season opener, is redshirt sophomore James Blackman, who started 12 games in 2017 and one game in 2018.
